Rajabhat and Donsak – Phaluay communities
Suratthani Rajabhat University has collected a lot of the information about the community such as history, immigration, background, ancient route of community, natural resources, holy sites, and tourist attractions. We also had the opportunity to have a group discussion with the people of the community in order to find ways to development tourism. The majority of those present included local governors, people, government staff, and tourism entrepreneurs. Tourism entrepreneurs own the tourism companiesservicing tourists, resulting in participation from the community on the many routes of community tourism as follows,

2. Hat Nang Kam community, Donsak sub-district, Donsak district, Surat Thani province
3. Pak Klong Donsak community, Donsak district, Surat Thani province
4. Ban Koh Rat community,Donsak sub-district, Donsak district, Surat Thani province
5. Koh Phaluay community, Koh Samui district, Surat Thani province
6. Koh Nok Phao community, Donsak district, Surat Thani province
Academic service project: Community tourism route
Donsak – Phaluay
Suratthani Rajabhat University is running the 4 missions namely Academic service, Research, Graduate production, and Art and Cultural preservation. In the area of academic service, in an effort to help develop our locality, we have coordinated with the community and built a participation network through many activities as well as the distribution of knowledge gained from research findings, innovation, and knowledge theory to the local community in order to develop and strengthen our community.
The university website of Community tourism route of Donsak – Phaluay gathered the information of community tourist attractions located in Donsak – Phaluay. It was developed by the Computer and Information Technology Center at Suratthani Rajabhat University. The information was collected and developed through a survey of local tourist attractions between February and March 2017. In addition, findings were published via the university website as well as social media in order to promote tourist attractions and motivate tourists to visit the community.
Moreover, the university website shows various activities from faculties and institutes under Suratthani Rajabhat University which are parts of the projects for Community tourism route, Donsak – Phaluay. It demonstrates the vision of the university in its participation in local development.
