,I dont think this thread is obsolete, because in a few months the HS class of '12 will be making their own decisions among acceptances. Last year they had over 1000 applicants for the program and only 18 BFA Acting freshman this year, and the number of acceptances are decreasing this year as 1500 applicants are expected to audition. Situated just outside Chicago in Evanstons suburb, Northwesterns Bienen School of Music is home to less than 450 total music students! Neither is Yale or NYU. And Pace has some pretty fantastic performers there, too.

,At Pace we were told that in the BFA programs they closely monitor the amount of students they accept. Throughout the audition process, the musical theatre faculty will be able to identify your strengths and potential in each area. When expanded it provides a list of search options that will switch the search inputs to match the current selection. We may be small, but our opportunities are big. I'm a high school senior and I've been fortunate enough to have been accepted into two awesome BFA Acting Programs at Pace and Hartt. Some of the work was very enjoyable though. BU has everything students want in a university music degree, a prestigious name with a quality music education. The University of Miami has made strides in recent years with its classical music faculty. I am happy to say, that as a current freshman Hartt student, I still feel this way, and have found that Hartt was a much better fit for me than Pace.
