Academic Language Services for Travel Service Providers of Nang Gum Beach Project

Target Group

  • travel service providers, boat drivers group, homestay entrepreneurs, and anybody who is interested in the project.

Location

  • Nang Gum Beach, Donsak Sub-District, Surat Thani

Basic Information of Participants

  • There are 35 participants including 17 females and 8 males. There are 25 respondents; 12 respondents are upto 30 years old, 3 respondents are between 30 – 39 years old, 2 respondents are between 40 – 49 years old, 3 respondents were between 50 – 59 years old, 5 respondents are over 60 years old, 6 boat drivers, 5 restaurant entrepreneurs, 3 housemaids, 3 gardeners, 4 sellers, and the other 4 from the other careers.

The participants gained an understanding of the content used in the training at a low level in overall (Mean = 2.74) The participants will have a better understanding of the content used in the training at a very high level in overall (Mean = 4.51).

The suggestions from the participants

  1. The training should be longer.
  2. The training should have focused a bit more on English speaking.
  3. There should be a manual for travel services providers.
  4. Three should be ongoing activities.
  5. A manual for travel services providers should have been prepared.
  6. Monitor the use of the English manual for travel services providers in order to improve and develop the project in the future.
